This afternoon, while conducting a seminar at my studio, one of the attendees looked out my
door and let the rest of us know that the hill adjacent to our property was on fire!
It seems to have started along Felter Road, heading up the hill very rapidly
The fire spread fast, widening Northward toward our fence.
We decided that it was probably a better idea to keep an eye on the fire than go back into the
soundproof studio and start recording again!
Teddy, visiting us from Colorado for the seminar, puts up a David and Goliath battle with the
fire until help arrives.
Our local Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department springs into action, along with a water truck from
Indian Hills Ranch across the street.
The flames get closer to the Southern edge of our property...
...and just as they surround us from the East as well...
...a CDF helicopter comes by to drop some "rain"!
The whole hill burned pretty quickly, but thanks to Spring Valley Volunteer FD, CDF, Milpitas FD, and that guy with the water truck,
our property had no damage whatsoever! Thanks, Guys!!
